My name is Pervez and last month I went to a restaurant with five friends where the question of how to split the bill fairly turned into an unexpectedly awkward conversation.
There were six of us and when the bill arrived one friend said to divide it equally six ways but another said that was not fair because she had only ordered the cheapest dish and plain water.
I took the bill and went through it item by item, calculating each person's individual total, which took about five minutes but meant everyone agreed it was fair.
When you go out with a group it is smart to keep track of what you order because splitting equally can cause tension when people have ordered very different amounts.
A better habit is to roughly calculate your own portion as you order so you already know your share before the bill arrives.

मैंने बिल उठाया और आइटम-दर-आइटम गया और हर व्यक्ति का अलग कुल निकाला जिसमें पाँच मिनट लगे लेकिन सबने माना यह उचित था।
ग्रुप के साथ बाहर जाते समय अपना ऑर्डर याद रखना समझदारी है क्योंकि जब लोगों ने बहुत अलग-अलग मात्रा ऑर्डर की हो तो बराबर बाँटना तनाव पैदा कर सकता है।
बेहतर आदत यह है कि ऑर्डर करते समय ही अपना अनुमान लगा लो ताकि बिल आने से पहले ही अपना हिस्सा पता हो।
