My name is Saqib and last spring I visited a new restaurant with my younger sister who uses a wheelchair, so I called ahead to ask about access and seating before we went.
The person on the phone confirmed they had a ground floor section with wide spaces between tables and when we arrived the host took us straight to a comfortable corner table.
Because my sister has a mild nut allergy I asked the waiter about each dish we wanted to order and he checked with the kitchen every time and gave us a clear answer.
We ate a full meal without any problems and my sister said it was the most relaxed she had felt at a restaurant in a long time.
One phone call before you go can save a lot of difficulty on the day and most restaurants are willing to accommodate if you give them a chance to prepare.
میرا نام ثاقب ہے اور گزشتہ موسم بہار میں اپنی چھوٹی بہن کے ساتھ نئے ریستوران گیا جو وہیل چیئر استعمال کرتی ہے، اس لیے جانے سے پہلے رسائی اور بیٹھنے کے بارے میں فون کیا۔
