My name is Ghazal and in class eight I had a subject teacher who I felt was unfair because she always called on the same group and my raised hand was never chosen.
When I said I wanted to change sections my mother asked what can you control in this situation.
I could not control the teacher or who she called but I could control the quality of my work and how I presented it.
I wrote my next assignment with clearer handwriting better organisation and properly explained points — the marks came back higher.
Working better in a difficult situation is more useful than waiting for the situation to change — my mother question is one I return to in many parts of life.
میرا نام غزل ہے اور آٹھویں جماعت میں ایک ایسی استاد تھی جسے ناانصاف سمجھتی تھی کیونکہ ہمیشہ ایک ہی گروپ کو چنتی اور میرا اٹھا ہاتھ کبھی نہیں چنا جاتا تھا۔
جب کہا کہ سیکشن بدلنا چاہتی ہوں تو امی نے پوچھا اس صورت میں تم کیا کنٹرول کر سکتی ہو۔
میں استاد یا اس کے بلاوے کو کنٹرول نہیں کر سکتی تھی لیکن اپنے کام کی کوالٹی اور پیشکش کو کر سکتی تھی۔
اگلا اسائنمنٹ صاف خطاطی، بہتر ترتیب اور واضح نقاط کے ساتھ لکھا — نمبر اونچے آئے۔
مشکل صورت میں بہتر کام کرنا حالات بدلنے کا انتظار کرنے سے زیادہ مفید ہے — امی کا سوال زندگی کے کئی حصوں میں واپس آتا ہے۔
मेरा नाम ग़ज़ल है और आठवीं में एक शिक्षिका थीं जिन्हें अनुचित समझती थी क्योंकि हमेशा एक ही समूह को बुलातीं और मेरा उठा हाथ कभी नहीं चुना जाता।
जब कहा सेक्शन बदलना चाहती हूँ तो माँ ने पूछा इस स्थिति में तुम क्या नियंत्रित कर सकती हो।
शिक्षिका या उनके बुलावे को नियंत्रित नहीं कर सकती थी लेकिन अपने काम की गुणवत्ता और प्रस्तुति को कर सकती थी।
अगला असाइनमेंट साफ लिखावट, बेहतर क्रम और स्पष्ट बिंदुओं के साथ लिखा — अंक ऊँचे आए।
مुश्किल में बेहतर काम करना हालात बदलने का इंतज़ार करने से ज़्यादा उपयोगी है — माँ का सवाल जीवन के कई हिस्सों में याद आता है।
