My name is Maryam and my school has a speech competition every year.
This year I decided to take part.
The topic was my favourite hero.
I chose my mother as my hero.
I practised my speech every night in front of the mirror.
On the day of the competition my legs were shaking.
After one minute my fear went away.
I spoke for three minutes clearly.
I did not win first prize but I won third place.
My mother cried when I told her the topic was her.

मैंने तीन मिनट साफ बोली।
मैंने पहला इनाम नहीं जीता लेकिन तीसरी पोज़ीशन आई।
जब मैंने माँ को बताया कि विषय वे थीं तो वे रो पड़ीं।
