My name is Momin and I believe keeping pets is very good for children and more families should consider it.
I grew up with a cat named Cheeni and she taught me things no classroom ever did.
She taught me responsibility — every morning before school I had to fill her water and food bowls.
She also taught me empathy — I learned to read her behaviour and know when she was unwell or sad.
Research shows children with pets have lower stress levels, stronger immune systems and better social skills.
A pet is not just an animal in the house — it is a relationship that teaches care loss love and responsibility.
