Yesterday I told you about my brother Usman. Today I want to tell you about my sister Hira. Hira is fourteen years old. She is eight years younger than me. She is short, has big eyes, and always ties her hair in a braid. Hira is in class nine at school. She is a very good student. Her favourite subject is Urdu. She also loves to draw and paint. Our mother says that Hira has her grandmother hands because her drawings are so beautiful. Hira is quiet at home but very talkative with me. She tells me everything. She tells me about her friends, her teachers, and even her small secrets. When I come home after university, she runs to the door and asks, bhai, what did you bring for me? Sometimes I bring her biscuits or a small gift. She becomes so happy with small things. Last week she drew a picture of our whole family. She put it in a frame and gave it to our mother. Our mother cried with happiness. Hira is only fourteen years old. But her heart is very big.

My Sister Essay for Students - Simple English with Urdu and Hindi Translation

Writing a my sister essay is one of the most personal and warmest topics a student can write about. A sister is someone who knows you, teases you, and loves you all at the same time. In this paragraph, Ali writes about his younger sister Hira - her appearance, her hobbies, her personality, and one moment that shows exactly what kind of person she is - all in simple beginner English with full Urdu and Hindi translation.

My Sister Essay - How to Start and What to Include

The best way to begin a my sister essay is with her name and age. Then describe something about how she looks - just one or two details that make her easy to picture. After that, write about what she likes to do and how she behaves at home. End with one real story or moment that shows her true character. This structure works for any class assignment and keeps the essay focused, personal, and interesting.

In Ali paragraph above, every sentence is short and clear. He does not use difficult words. But the paragraph feels real because the details are specific - the braid in Hira hair, the question she asks at the door, the drawing she put in a frame. These small details are what make an essay truly memorable.

Essay on My Sister - Describing a Younger Sister

Many students search for essay on my sister because they need to describe a younger sibling. When writing about a younger sister, the best approach is to show two sides of her personality. Hira, for example, is quiet at home but very talkative with Ali. She is young but her heart is very big. This contrast makes the description feel honest and three-dimensional rather than just a list of good qualities.

Another important technique is to include a real moment. Ali says: Last week she drew a picture of our whole family. She put it in a frame and gave it to our mother. Our mother cried with happiness. This one story tells you more about Hira character than ten sentences of general description ever could. When you write your own sister essay, think of one real moment like this and include it.

Grammar Focus - Using Younger Than and Comparisons

In this paragraph, Ali uses two comparison sentences: She is eight years younger than me and She is short. In English, when we compare two people, we use adjective + than. For example: younger than, taller than, older than, shorter than, smarter than. Notice we say younger than me - not younger than I or younger from me. Urdu and Hindi speakers often make this mistake. Practice by comparing yourself to your own sister or brother: My sister is blank years younger than me. She is blank than me.
