My name is Dilnoza and I was six years old when my grandmother sat with me and taught me how to read the large round clock on our living room wall.
She explained that the short hand tells you the hour and the long hand tells you the minutes and that when the long hand points straight up a new hour is beginning.
The first time I read the clock correctly without any help I felt very pleased with myself and my grandmother clapped and said now you will never be lost in time.
Before you learn to tell the time you are dependent on others to tell you when things begin and end.
The moment you can read a clock you begin to manage your own time instead of being managed by it.
میرا نام دلنوزا ہے اور چھ سال کی تھی جب دادی نے بیٹھ کر ہمارے کمرے کی دیوار پر لگی بڑی گول گھڑی پڑھنا سکھایا۔
انہوں نے سمجھایا کہ چھوٹی سوئی گھنٹہ بتاتی ہے اور لمبی منٹ اور جب لمبی سوئی سیدھی اوپر ہو تو نیا گھنٹہ شروع ہو رہا ہے۔
پہلی بار بغیر کسی مدد کے صحیح وقت بتایا تو خود پر بہت خوشی ہوئی اور دادی نے تالی بجائی اور کہا اب تم وقت میں کبھی گُم نہیں ہو گی۔

جیسے ہی گھڑی پڑھنا آ جائے آپ اپنا وقت خود سنبھالنے لگتے ہیں اس کے بجائے کہ وقت آپ کو سنبھالے۔
मेरा नाम दिलनोज़ा है और छह साल की थी जब दादी ने बैठकर हमारे कमरे की दीवार पर लगी बड़ी गोल घड़ी पढ़ना सिखाया।
उन्होंने समझाया कि छोटी सुई घंटा बताती है और लंबी मिनट और जब लंबी सुई सीधे ऊपर हो तो नया घंटा शुरू हो रहा है।
पहली बार बिना किसी मदद के सही समय बताया तो बहुत खुशी हुई और दादी ने ताली बजाई और कहा अब तुम समय में कभी नहीं खोओगी।
घड़ी पढ़ना सीखने से पहले दूसरों पर निर्भर होते हैं कि वे बताएँ कब चीज़ें शुरू और खत्म होती हैं।
जैसे ही घड़ी पढ़नी आ जाए अपना समय खुद संभालने लगते हैं बजाय इसके कि समय उन्हें संभाले।
