My name is Asma.
I want to tell you about the garden in front of our house in Sahiwal.
When we first moved here there was nothing in front of the house except dry mud and a few broken bricks.
I started with just two small plants that I bought for ten rupees each from a roadside seller.
Both plants survived and grew into small shrubs and that gave me confidence to plant more.
Over the years I have planted roses, marigolds, jasmine, a small lemon tree and a large shady tree near the gate.
I made a small stone path through the middle of the garden using stones I collected from different places.
Neighbours used to walk past without looking but now they stop to admire the garden and ask me for cuttings.
My mother says the garden makes our house look like it is smiling from the street.
Every morning I spend thirty minutes in the garden before school.
I water the plants, remove dry leaves and talk to my plants softly because I believe they can feel care.
This garden started with ten rupees and eight years of love and it is the most beautiful thing I have ever created.

سالوں میں میں نے گلاب، گیندا، چنبیلی، ایک چھوٹا لیموں کا درخت اور گیٹ کے قریب ایک بڑا سایہ دار درخت لگایا ہے۔
میں نے مختلف جگہوں سے جمع کیے پتھروں سے باغیچے کے بیچ میں ایک چھوٹا پتھر کا راستہ بنایا ہے۔
پڑوسی بغیر دیکھے گزر جاتے تھے لیکن اب وہ رک کر باغیچے کی تعریف کرتے ہیں اور مجھ سے قلمیں مانگتے ہیں۔
میری ماں کہتی ہے کہ باغیچہ ہمارے گھر کو گلی سے مسکراتا ہوا دکھاتا ہے۔
ہر صبح اسکول سے پہلے میں تیس منٹ باغیچے میں گزارتی ہوں۔
میں پودوں کو پانی دیتی ہوں، خشک پتے ہٹاتی ہوں اور اپنے پودوں سے آہستہ سے بات کرتی ہوں کیونکہ مجھے یقین ہے کہ وہ دیکھ بھال محسوس کر سکتے ہیں۔
یہ باغیچہ دس روپے اور آٹھ سال کی محبت سے شروع ہوا اور یہ سب سے خوبصورت چیز ہے جو میں نے کبھی بنائی ہے۔

दोनों पौधे बच गए और छोटी झाड़ियों में बड़े हो गए और इससे मुझे और लगाने की हिम्मत मिली।
सालों में मैंने गुलाब, गेंदा, चमेली, एक छोटा नींबू का पेड़ और गेट के पास एक बड़ा छायादार पेड़ लगाया है।
मैंने अलग-अलग जगहों से इकट्ठे पत्थरों से बगीचे के बीच में एक छोटा पत्थर का रास्ता बनाया है।
पड़ोसी बिना देखे गुज़र जाते थे लेकिन अब वे रुककर बगीचे की तारीफ करते हैं और मुझसे कलमें माँगते हैं।
मेरी माँ कहती हैं कि बगीचा हमारे घर को गली से मुस्कुराता हुआ दिखाता है।
हर सुबह स्कूल से पहले मैं तीस मिनट बगीचे में बिताती हूँ।
मैं पौधों को पानी देती हूँ, सूखे पत्ते हटाती हूँ और अपने पौधों से धीरे से बात करती हूँ क्योंकि मुझे विश्वास है कि वे देखभाल महसूस कर सकते हैं।
यह बगीचा दस रुपये और आठ साल के प्यार से शुरू हुआ और यह सबसे खूबसूरत चीज़ है जो मैंने कभी बनाई है।
