My name is Sehroz and I learned at school that colours can represent feelings and emotions.
Red is the colour of anger and also of love.
Blue is the colour of sadness and also of calmness.
Yellow is happiness, green is hope, black can mean sadness or power and white means new beginnings.
When a character in a story is sad the light in the scene is often blue or grey.
When something happy happens the colours in the scene become bright and warm.
My teacher asked us to draw our mood using only colours and no shapes.
I chose yellow because that day was a good day.
Understanding colours as feelings makes English stories much easier to understand.
It also helps when you are writing your own stories in English.
