My name is Shafaq and after missing three days of school in class eight I came back to find an important maths chapter had been covered while I was gone. My desk neighbour notes were written in shorthand with arrows and symbols only she understood so I asked another girl whose notes were complete and organised. She could lend them for only one hour so I went to the back of the library and copied four pages in fifty minutes with a hand that hurt by the end. That experience taught me that how you write notes matters as much as what you write — neat organised notes can be shared while shorthand only helps the person who wrote it. I began writing my own notes more clearly after that — not just for myself but because sharing knowledge is easier when the knowledge is well organised.
