My name is Rahat and my favourite colour has always been green — not one shade but all of them from the bright green of fresh grass after rain to the dark green of old moss on stone walls.
I grew up near a park and I think that is where green became important to me — it was the colour of the place where I felt most free.
Green is the colour of growing things — something that is alive and continuing to grow — and I feel calmer in places where green is present.
When I was studying for exams sitting near the window where I could see a tree in the courtyard helped me concentrate better than facing a blank wall.
Green is the colour that tells me the world is still growing.

हरा वह रंग है जो मुझे बताता है कि दुनिया अभी भी बढ़ रही है।
