My name is Maroof and in class nine I watched a classmate cheat in the mid-term exam using notes written on a small piece of paper hidden inside his pencil case.
He scored very well in that exam while I scored less despite studying properly and for a few days I felt angry about it.
But in the next class quiz two weeks later he struggled badly because the mid-term material had never actually gone into his head.
When you cheat you do not trick the exam — you trick yourself into thinking you have learned something you have not and the cost shows up later.
I scored well in the quiz from honest preparation and the result felt not proud exactly but cleaner — as if the number meant exactly what it said.
