My name is Qasim and last year I helped my seventy year old grandmother travel by bus to Rawalpindi carrying her heavy suitcase full of gifts.
The suitcase was too big for the overhead rack so I kept it between my legs on the bus floor the whole journey.
At the terminal all trolleys were taken so I dragged the suitcase across the floor while staying close to my slow-walking grandmother.
When we found our seats she held my hand and said she was glad I was there.
Now when I travel alone I always look for passengers struggling with heavy bags and try to offer the help I wished someone had offered us.
میرا نام قاسم ہے اور پچھلے سال ستر سالہ دادی کو تحفوں سے بھرا بھاری سوٹ کیس لے کر راولپنڈی بس سے جانے میں مدد کی۔
سوٹ کیس اوپر کے ریک کے لیے بہت بڑا تھا اس لیے پورے سفر بس کے فرش پر اپنے پیروں کے درمیان رکھا۔
ٹرمینل پر تمام ٹرالیاں لی تھیں اس لیے فرش پر گھسیٹا جبکہ آہستہ چلنے والی دادی کے قریب رہا۔
جب سیٹ ملی تو انہوں نے میرا ہاتھ پکڑا اور کہا خوشی ہے کہ تم تھے۔
اب جب اکیلے سفر کرتا ہوں تو بھاری بیگ سے جوجھتے مسافروں کو وہ مدد کرتا ہوں جو کاش کسی نے ہمیں کی ہوتی۔
मेरा नाम क़ासिम है और पिछले साल सत्तर साल की दादी की भारी सूटकेस लेकर बस से रावलपिंडी जाने में मदद की।
सूटकेस ऊपर रैक के लिए बहुत बड़ा था इसलिए पूरे सफर बस के फर्श पर पैरों के बीच रखा।
टर्मिनल पर सभी ट्रॉलियाँ ली थीं इसलिए फर्श पर खींचा जबकि धीरे चलने वाली दादी के पास रहा।
जब सीट मिली तो उन्होंने हाथ थामा और कहा खुशी है तुम थे।
अब अकेले यात्रा में भारी बैग वाले यात्रियों की वह मदद करता हूँ जो काश किसी ने हमें की होती।
