Yesterday I told you about my favourite sport. Today I want to tell you about my favourite season. My favourite season is summer. I know this surprises some people, because summer in Lahore is not gentle. It is long, heavy, and sometimes so hot that the air outside feels like it is pressing against you. But I love it anyway, and I think the reason comes down to the memories that summer carries for me rather than the weather itself. Summer is when school used to finish. For twelve years, the end of May meant freedom. No uniform, no early alarm, and whole weeks that stretched ahead with no fixed shape. I would sleep late, eat mango with Hira on the kitchen steps, and sit with Usman in the cooler part of the house arguing about films we had seen. Those arguments were never serious, just two brothers with nowhere important to be. Summer is also when we visited the village most often. The heat of Lahore would follow us there, but somehow it felt different in the open fields, softer and slower. Dadi Amma would make us sweet lassi in the afternoon, and we would drink it sitting under the tree in the courtyard while the day cooled gradually. Now that I am at university, summer has changed shape. There are no long holidays anymore, only a short break between semesters. But something in the light during June and July still carries that old feeling. When I sit at my study table in the evening and the fan turns slowly overhead and the smell of the city at dusk comes through the window, I feel something I can only call summer. It is harder to name than a colour or a food, but it is just as real. Summer still feels like possibility, even when the calendar says otherwise.

Essay on My Favourite Season Summer - With Urdu and Hindi Translation

Writing an essay on my favourite season summer is most effective when it connects a season to personal memories rather than simply describing the weather. This paragraph follows Ali story as he explains why summer in Lahore is his favourite season despite the intense heat, using simple beginner English with full Urdu and Hindi translation.

My Favourite Season Is Summer Essay - Loving a Season for Its Memories

What makes this my favourite season is summer essay stand out is that Ali honestly admits summer in Lahore is extremely hot and difficult, yet still calls it his favourite. His reason is not the weather itself but the memories the season carries — the end of school, freedom, slow afternoons with siblings, and visits to the village. This approach teaches students that a favourite season essay becomes more interesting when the writer explains the feeling a season brings, not just its temperature or activities.

Summer Season Paragraph in English - Using Specific Childhood Details

A strong summer season paragraph in english should include specific, sensory details rather than vague descriptions. Ali describes eating mango on kitchen steps with Hira, sitting in the cooler part of the house arguing about films with Usman, and drinking sweet lassi under a tree in the village courtyard. These small, specific details make the paragraph feel lived-in and real, which is far more effective than simply saying summer is fun or enjoyable.

Why Summer Is My Favourite Season - How a Season Changes Over Time

An original angle for any essay on why summer is my favourite season is showing how the relationship with a season changes as you grow older. Ali describes how summer used to mean long school holidays with no fixed shape, but now at university it is only a short semester break. Yet the light in June and July still carries the same old feeling. This honest observation, that a favourite season can feel different now but still hold the same emotional meaning, makes an essay feel thoughtful and mature.

Short Essay on Summer Season - A Simple Version

Here is a short essay on summer season that beginners can use as a starting template:

My favourite season is summer. I know summer can be very hot, but I love the feeling it brings. Summer reminds me of school holidays, eating fruit with my family, and visiting my grandparents in the village. Even now that I am older, the long evenings and warm nights of summer still feel like freedom. Summer is not just a season for me. It is a feeling I carry in my memory all year.

Vocabulary from This Paragraph

gentle (نرم) - soft and mild, not harsh or extreme | freedom (آزادی) - the state of being free from restrictions | stretched (پھیلے ہوئے) - extended or spread over a long distance or time | gradually (آہستہ آہستہ) - slowly and steadily over time | semester (سمسٹر) - a half-year term in a university calendar | possibility (امکان) - the chance that something could happen or exist | dusk (شام کا وقت) - the time just after sunset when it is not yet dark | courtyard (صحن) - an open area enclosed by walls or buildings.

Grammar Focus - Using Used To for Past Habits

This paragraph uses the pattern used to several times to describe things that happened regularly in the past but no longer happen now: school used to finish, I would sleep late, we used to visit the village. The structure used to plus base verb shows a repeated past habit that has now stopped. This is a very useful tense structure for any season essay, since it allows the writer to compare how a season felt in childhood with how it feels now. Practice this pattern: Summer used to mean long holidays, but now it means a short break between semesters.
