Yesterday I told you about my uncle Khalid. Today I want to tell you about his wife, my aunt. We call her Chachi Sana. She is thirty-four years old. She came into our family six years ago when she married Uncle Khalid. Before that, she lived in Rawalpindi with her own family. Chachi Sana is a school teacher. She teaches English to children in a primary school in Islamabad. She is soft-spoken and very patient. She never raises her voice, not even when she is upset. I have never seen her angry. When she visits Lahore with Uncle Khalid, she always finds time to sit with each of us separately. She asks Usman about his college. She asks Hira about her drawings. She asks me about my English and my university work. She listens carefully and never seems bored. Last year, when I was struggling with English grammar, she spent a whole afternoon explaining it to me in simple words. She never made me feel stupid.
