My name is Nargis.
I live in a two bedroom flat on the fourth floor of an apartment building in Karachi.
In a flat you share walls with your neighbours and you can sometimes hear them through the walls.
Our flat has a small balcony where I have placed four large plant pots.
I have grown tomatoes, spinach and basil in them.
I love stepping out onto the balcony in the early morning with my cup of tea and watching the city slowly wake up below.
Our bedroom is comfortable with a double bed, two side tables and a built in wardrobe.
The kitchen is compact but has everything we need including a microwave and a small refrigerator.
The biggest challenge of flat life is that we have no private outdoor space for our children to play freely.
The rooftop of the building is open to all residents and the children play there safely in the evenings.
Flat life has its difficulties but the balcony garden and the city view make it special for me.
Every home has something beautiful if you look for it.

میں کراچی میں ایک اپارٹمنٹ عمارت کی چوتھی منزل پر دو بیڈ روم والے فلیٹ میں رہتی ہوں۔
فلیٹ میں آپ اپنے پڑوسیوں کے ساتھ دیواریں شیئر کرتے ہیں اور کبھی کبھی انہیں دیواروں کے ذریعے سن سکتے ہیں۔
ہمارے فلیٹ میں ایک چھوٹی بالکنی ہے جہاں میں نے چار بڑے گملے رکھے ہیں۔
میں نے ان میں ٹماٹر، پالک اور تلسی اگائی ہے۔
مجھے صبح سویرے اپنی چائے کا کپ لے کر بالکنی پر قدم رکھنا اور نیچے شہر کو آہستہ آہستہ جاگتے دیکھنا بہت پسند ہے۔
ہمارا بیڈ روم ڈبل بیڈ، دو سائڈ ٹیبل اور ایک بلٹ ان الماری کے ساتھ آرام دہ ہے۔
باورچی خانہ چھوٹا ہے لیکن اس میں مائیکروویو اور ایک چھوٹا فریج سمیت ہماری ضرورت کی سب چیزیں ہیں۔
فلیٹ کی زندگی کا سب سے بڑا چیلنج یہ ہے کہ بچوں کے لیے آزادانہ کھیلنے کے لیے ہمارے پاس کوئی ذاتی بیرونی جگہ نہیں ہے۔
عمارت کی چھت تمام رہائشیوں کے لیے کھلی ہے اور بچے شاموں میں وہاں محفوظ طریقے سے کھیلتے ہیں۔
فلیٹ کی زندگی میں مشکلات ہیں لیکن بالکنی کا باغ اور شہر کا نظارہ اسے میرے لیے خاص بناتا ہے۔

मैं कराची में एक अपार्टमेंट इमारत की चौथी मंजिल पर दो बेडरूम वाले फ्लैट में रहती हूँ।

मुझे सुबह सवेरे अपनी चाय का कप लेकर बालकनी पर कदम रखना और नीचे शहर को धीरे-धीरे जागते देखना बहुत पसंद है।
हमारा बेडरूम डबल बेड, दो साइड टेबल और एक बिल्ट-इन अलमारी के साथ आरामदायक है।
रसोई छोटी है लेकिन उसमें माइक्रोवेव और एक छोटा फ्रिज सहित हमारी ज़रूरत की सब चीज़ें हैं।
फ्लैट की ज़िंदगी की सबसे बड़ी चुनौती यह है कि बच्चों के लिए आज़ादी से खेलने के लिए हमारे पास कोई निजी बाहरी जगह नहीं है।
इमारत की छत सभी निवासियों के लिए खुली है और बच्चे शाम को वहाँ सुरक्षित रूप से खेलते हैं।
फ्लैट की ज़िंदगी में मुश्किलात हैं लेकिन बालकनी का बगीचा और शहर का नज़ारा इसे मेरे लिए खास बनाता है।
